Where the dimensions differ.

9Axes covers governmental structure, representation, international relations, military policy, security, economics, religion, social change and cultural integration. It developed from 8values and presents each axis as two opposing values.

Our twelve-axis pool includes separate readings for economic coordination, trade and technology. Some related labels also differ: our international-relations axis uses Internationalist / Nationalist, while 9Axes uses Globalist / Isolationist. Similar wording does not make the scores interchangeable.

Short does not mean certain.

Our Quick option asks fewer questions per dimension than the 9Axes short version. That reduces the number of statements to answer but also the coverage within each dimension. Neither extra axes nor a longer questionnaire automatically demonstrates better accuracy.

Choose a length you are willing to finish. If a statement feels ambiguous, use the response closest to your interpretation and read the resulting scores with that limitation in mind.

Choosing a test.

Try 9Axes if its nine categories fit the questions you want to explore. Try this 12Axes build if you want separate technology, trade and economic-coordination readings. This site reports the twelve scores without assigning a country, person or ideology.
